Granado Espada Trivia

Written by gyl on Saturday, September 01, 2007

I was searching for any trivia about Granado Espada and I've come up with a few. Enjoy this shortlist while AFKed or something ^_^

  • Granado espada" is Spanish for "distinguished sword", although the grammar is improper, as in Spanish the noun comes before the adjective. Also, "espada" is a feminine noun, so the name of the game should be "Espada Granada". The game's backstory claims that the new world was "discovered" by 2 explorers named Granado and Espada.
  • When Idge Imbrulia, the first blacksmith one encounters in the game, gives the player's family their first Plate Mail armor in the game she tells them it's marked with her personal trademark, a swoosh. This is in reference to a scene in the film A Knight's Tale. Incidentally the trademark bears an uncanny resemblance to the Nike logo.
  • There is one possible Counter-Strike reference in the game. At the end of one of the quests, the NPC who assigned the quest announces: "Counter-Terrorists Win."

Cash Shop Item Purchase Guide

Written by gyl on Saturday, September 01, 2007

After the server maintenance last August 30, 2007, the clock starts ticking (lol.. there's an indicator in your barracks), cash shop items are starting to get advertised and broadcasted using microphones. Various characters sporting different costumes stands out from each other as they run around the busy world of Granado Espada. This section focuses on Cash Shop Item Purchasing.

The Premium Item Trader NPC is available in all towns. They're most of the time situated near the way-point or Leonardo Expresso. You can find a list of Cash Shop Items here. Premium Items or Cash Shop Items are in-game items that can only be found from the Premium Item Trader NPC. These are specialized items that allows you free passes to a secret dungeon to bear costumes to a progressive health filler to 100% bonus experience.

You'll be needing G-Points to spend for these items. Here is a link to a G-point topping up guide. Just be sure to abide by the following Terms and Conditions.

Topping up for G-points is easy and fast. This should give you a major advantage over other players so be sure to plan how will you purchase Premium Items.

Buying premium items in game is similar to buying items from other NPCs.

A tip to other players who's planning how to spend your limited G-Points is to know what are tradables and which are not. Some valuable Premium Item like a Barrack Slot which costs 1,100 G-points is tradable so instead of using G-Points to purchase it you might as well look for someone willing to sell them for vis.

Character Stats Explanation

Written by gyl on Saturday, September 01, 2007

Here's a quick explanation of what a certain stat of a character does. IAH Games is yet to reveal what each stat exactly do. The information on the stat is mostly taken from characters who have reached veteran status and is experimenting with various stat point with Cash Shop Items.

STR
Strenght affects the attack power of melee weapons. Just like in most MMORPG, this stat is included in damage calculation of melee weapons. In Granado Espada, strenght also translates to the ability of skills to be able to deal a knockdown or a knock-back blow. It is said to have an effect on the attack speed of heavy weapons (these are Great Swords, Polearms, and Maces).

AGI
Agility affects the characters attack speed and physical evasion rate. The more points on AGI a character have the faster he/she will be able to attack. AGI also doesn't seem to have any use for Catherine the Summoneer RNPC and Jack or Diego's constructions (Rotating Blade, Turrets etc..).

CON or HP
Constitution or Health points translates as a character's total hit points. The more points on CON/HP you have the more health your character will have. Every point on CON/HP can cancel the effectiveness of knockdown from skill.

DEX
Dexterity affects the damage output of range weapons. Dexterous characters has better accuracy, block rate and critical rating. Light weapons (they are Daggers, Mains Gauches, Knuckles, Gaiters, Javelins to name a few)
seem to benefit from the DEX stat as well giving them better attack speed.

INT
Intelligence greatly affects magic users. The INT stat affects the destructive power of magic attacks. This does not increase the total SP (spell points) of your character, leveling them does. Intelligence also raises the characters resistance to elemental attacks.

CHA
Charisma affects the strenght of summoned monsters.

This info on each stat were taken from http://ges.wikiwiki.jp/
