A look at Enhancement Boosters
Written by gyl on Friday, November 02, 2007Over Enhancement has been a primary way to double a possible profit from a good equipment. And for so long, people are still quite intrigued with enhancing equipments to a point that each and everyone have developed thier own rituals before/when enhancing equipments. The arrival of the Premium Item Mall shook those who loves Enhancing (and those who'd want to enhance their prized possessions afely) with Enhancement Boosters - an item that allows you to get enough chance to get a safe upgrade on your equipments. Below is a table of the chance you get for a certain level of enhancing. As the level gets higher, the chance gets lower and lower and so the need for a safe way to get those equips to a greater level kicks in.
To further explain the table above, let's say you are planning on enhancing your elite armor to +6. When enhancing from +5 to +6, you'd get 1/4 or 25% chance to have a successful enhancement. Using the enough amount of enhancement boosters doesn't guarantee you 100% success (even if you spend a lot) it simply doubles your chance of success when you use the max amount of boosters. The table below, tells you the amount of boosters allowed depending on the AR/DR the equipment can give.
In conclusion, Enhancement Boosters, when used in max amount, only doubles the success rate of enhancing and those not necessarily gives 100% chance. IMO, I'd rather try my luck on a +5 (50% chance without boosters) than using Gpoints to get E.Boosters which can be spend elsewhere like Combat Manuals or save up for vet scrolls (OMG, wtf are these scrolls so expensive ~_~).

LOL, just like "Anonymous" said, try a really expensive item like Elite/Unique Something and you're gonna take off your balls with your own hands if fail. So Boosters when used on that type of weapons are worth it the spend of g-points. In normal weapons it's better to try your luck for +5 and even +6 then cheap them or whatever.
