Rapiers are high speed weapon with a high damage output and they are amazing in 1 VS. 1 battle. Rapiers hit twice and has a little AoE (Area of Effect) which makes it a decent mobbing weapon. Epee guard is an Offensive Rapier stance it is fast, precise and has a high chance of landing a critical hit which is a not bad trade off for power. The stance offers 20% Critical Hit Rate with a 16% Attack Speed Bonus. You can get even less than 30 ASPD with it.
PvE-wise, Epee Garde has a very competitive DPS paired with the small AoE (that can hit 2 targets max). The small AoE allows it too do quite well on places with high spawn rate. The high crit rate and decent ASPD boost makes up for its average damage output and lack of real AoE skill. Well, Rapiers aren't meant for mobbing anyway but its plus points makes up for it. 1 vs 1 combat is where it really shines as most of the skills in Epee Garde got almost 1k+% of damage. It is very spammable and SP shouldn't be a problem with a fast-attacking stance like this.
As for the stance's skills. Fente is like Slashdown which is very spammable and fast. Sept Etoiles is amazing against Soft Armored targets which can mostly do 1 hit KO in PvP with the right equipments. Balestra Fente is similar to Heaven and Hell's Raging Hell skill which isn't that good as an AoE skill but can be used quite well for a single target. You can spam skill after another which is what most people do in PvP and/or in Raid/Boss Hunts. Using one skill after another proves to be very brutal. Cent-Ennui is a 2k% damaging skill which is very very painful.
Rapiers with good stun chances (around 9%+ should be good) works like wonders in PvP too! At higher levels, there are rapiers that a has 15% chance to shock enemies. With an attack speed that can hit less than 30, a combo like that can actually lock your target down.
