Granadosource's take:
Sabre Garde is the second Rapier stance you can get! It is a very balanced stance that can tank and dish out damage at the same time. Sabre Garde is the defensive counter part of Epee Garde which focuses on Parry rather than blocking attacks. It can replace High Guard's tanking ability at higher levels though do remember that the more monsters attacking you the less effective Evasion is.
PvE-wise you wouldn't go wrong with Sabre Garde. It has an average Attack Speed bonus at 8% and what makes it so good is the 15% bonus Evasion Rate at max stance level. You can get more evasion from Adre's Armors. Most of them gives 20 or more Evasion Rate and with the max stance's bonus you'd be tough to hit in 1 vs 1. You'd be able to survive a lot more in places with slow to normal spawn rate easily.
PvP-wise it is very decent to good actually. This is due to its diverse and very useful skill list. Tete, the fist skill on the list, got 25% chance to inflict stun status which is very very good. It being spammable plus a good amount of damage (700%) is definitely awesome not only in PvP but against Bosses as well. Evasion, a self buff, is similar to Guardian but gives Evasion instead. You can get attack speed bonuses with Evasion Ring(s). This allows you to get more Attack Speed bonus than its counterpart, Epee Garde. Attaque Compose works very well against Hard/Heavy Armored enemies. Esquive Touch is very damaging with 2k+% of damage.
Sabre Garde is a very balanced stat which has good defensive and offensive potentials.
